Online Clinical Psychology Services
Based in Lochgilphead, Argyll, on the west coast of Scotland.
I am currently full and not able to take on any new work. Please check back again in a few months.
Sometimes you just need somewhere to talk and work out what is going wrong, or perhaps, just how to grow towards being your best you. I can provide a safe, non-judgemental space to help you do this. Together we can come to an understanding of what might be contributing to your difficulties, the strengths and resources you already have, and how to move towards your goals. Many of my clients are neurodivergent in some way (e.g. autistic or ADHD), whether formally diagnosed or not, but you are welcome regardless of your neurotype!
Please note, however, that I only offer services to adults (18+).
Psychological Therapy Services
I am increasingly specialising in the use of transformative approaches such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems) due to their inherently compassionate and non-shaming stance, and having experienced their powerful healing effects for a wide range of people and circumstances. However, I do also draw upon and integrate a wide range of psychological theories and therapies (including attachment theory, systems theory, and ACT) in order to personalise my approach to your particular needs. I particularly enjoy working therapeutically with neurodivergent people (e.g. autistic, ADHD), who have often experienced more than their fair share of traumas. I also have a good understanding of the diagnostic process and the pros and cons of pursuing such a course of action, as I am also a qualified and well-experienced ADHD and autism diagnostician. Unfortunately I no longer offer a diagnostic service myself, having chosen to focus more on providing therapy.
